Privacy Policy

Food Growth Pulse is built for food and beverage founders. This policy explains what information we collect through our assessment and platform, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This Privacy Policy describes how Food Growth Pulse (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our website, complete our operational assessment, or engage our advisory services. By using our services, you agree to the practices described here.

01

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you complete our free operational assessment (the audit form), we collect your name, email address, and the business information you choose to share — including your company name, product category, annual revenue range, operational challenges, and your self-assessed ratings across our operational categories. When you contact us or request a consultation, we collect the details you submit through our contact and intake forms, such as your name, email, company, and the nature of your inquiry. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we automatically collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device characteristics, referring URL, and the pages you view. We also record how visitors interact with our pages — including scrolling, clicks, and engagement with forms — using the analytics and session-recording tools described in Section 04. This information does not identify you by name and is used to maintain security, monitor site performance, and understand how our site is used.

Information from registered users

If you create an account to use our platform tools (such as the weekly check-in, dashboard, or advisor chat), we collect your email address, authentication credentials, and the operational data you enter — including weekly sales, food and labor spend, guest counts, and operational notes.

02

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to generate your personalized operational diagnostic report, deliver it to you, and — when you request it — follow up with advisory services tailored to your business. Specifically, we use your information to:

  • Generate and deliver your growth readiness assessment and diagnostic report
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide requested advisory or consulting services
  • Send you the results of your assessment and related follow-up communications
  • Operate the platform tools you use, including dashboards, weekly check-ins, and AI-generated insights
  • Send the newsletter you asked for, if you subscribed to it
  • Improve our assessment methodology, diagnostic accuracy, and platform features
  • Communicate with you about your account, our services, and (with your consent) relevant offerings
  • Protect the security of our platform and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

03

Data Storage and Security

Your information is stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by our platform hosting and database providers. Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to operate the platform and deliver services, and is governed by role-based access controls.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission, authenticated access, and row-level isolation that keeps one user's data separate from another's. However, no system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur. You provide your information at your own risk.

04

Cookies, Analytics, and Session Recording

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our site, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. Two providers do most of this work: Google Analytics, which reports aggregate traffic and usage data, and Contentsquare, which records how visitors interact with individual pages — including scrolling, clicks, and form engagement — so we can identify usability problems and improve the experience.

Session recordings are used only to improve our site. They are not used to serve you targeted advertising, and we do not sell the data they collect. Google reCAPTCHA also sets a cookie when you submit one of our forms, in order to screen out spam and automated abuse.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics and Contentsquare directly using the options described in our Cookie Policy. That policy lists every cookie we set, what it does, how long it lasts, and how to turn it off.

Read the Cookie Policy

05

Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party service providers to operate our platform and deliver our services. These providers may process limited personal information on our behalf only as needed to perform their functions:

  • Google — Google Analytics for aggregate site reporting, and reCAPTCHA for protecting our forms from spam and automated abuse
  • Contentsquare — behavioral and session analytics used to improve site usability
  • Stripe — payment processing when you purchase a platform subscription. Stripe stores and processes payment data under its own security standards; we do not store your full card details
  • Calendly — scheduling when you book a consultation or discovery call. Booking takes place on Calendly's own site and is governed by Calendly's privacy policy
  • Our platform hosting and database provider — stores and serves your data, with role-based access controls and per-user data isolation
  • Our email delivery provider — sends your assessment results, booking confirmations, and platform communications
  • AI and language model providers — power our diagnostic report generation and advisor chat

Each provider is contractually bound to protect your information and to use it only for the purposes we specify. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

06

AI Processing of Your Data

Our assessment and advisor tools use artificial intelligence to analyze the business information you provide and generate diagnostic insights. When you submit an assessment or use the advisor chat, your input is processed by third-party AI providers to produce your report or response. We share only the information necessary to generate your output, and we do not authorize those providers to use your data to train their models.

07

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the services you requested. Assessment records and inquiry data are retained to deliver your report, support follow-up advisory engagements, and maintain a history of your engagement with us. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. When you close your account or request deletion, we remove your data from active systems within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to retain it or need it to prevent fraud and enforce our terms.

08

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Delete — request that we delete your personal information
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent to processing that relied on your consent
  • Opt out — opt out of marketing communications at any time
  • Restrict or object — request that we limit certain processing of your data

U.S. state privacy rights

If you live in California or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you also have the right to know the categories of personal information we collect and the purposes we use it for, to receive that information in a portable format, to request correction or deletion, and to opt out of certain uses of your information. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@foodgrowthpulse.com. We will verify your identity before processing your request — usually by confirming control of the email address associated with your record — and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

09

Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for business founders and operators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

10

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of our services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
